Who: CrewBoss PPE works to provide firefighters with high-quality protective garments so that they’re comfortable and safe from fires and dangerous terrain season after season.

Challenge: Increase online sales for the CrewBossPPE website and turn the CrewBoss social channels into thought leaders for firefighters worldwide.

Result: Achieved a 30% increase in online sales for the CrewBoss website and grew its social media following by 500%.

Importance: The firefighter community has a significant yet underutilized presence on social media. Tapping into this opportunity ahead of competitors can dramatically enhance CrewBoss’s brand awareness and drive sales.

My Role: Writing and editing all copy on the project. Managing the CrewBoss social media account. Tracking and analyzing the data for each asset. Researching and measuring the success of the SEO work done. Coordinating trade show presences. Designing each blog and email on their respective platforms.

FDIC

FDIC is the largest firefighter convention in the country that takes place in Indianapolis each year. As a part of my role, I assisted in planning for this event including:

  • Logistics on travel and lodging.

  • Booth set up and break down.

  • Asset inventory management.

  • Shipping and receiving.

  • Cross promotions with other businesses.

  • Answering questions about CrewBoss during the convention itself.
